The Tender Box

Originally inspired by the post punk and synth pop groups of the 1980s, the band - Joey Medina (vocals, guitar), Ric Moon (guitar), Steve Mungarro (bass, vocals) and Chuck Gil (drums) have expanded on their sound as revealed on their 2007 debut album 'The Score'.

Two years followed of hard touring, love, loss, soul searching and revelation have resulted in the five new songs produced by Warren Huart (The Fray, Augustana) and Jay Ruston (The Donnas, Morrissey). Cuts like 'Incomplete Design' and 'Gravity' reach for grand, lush spaces melodically and lyrically while others, 'Another Lover' and 'Beautiful Sin' keep with the original feeling of British influenced dark and danceable songs.

Astra Heights

Astra Heights play crisp, melodic, timeless rock and roll meant to fill big spaces. Their debut release, 'Good Problems', is full of swaggering jams that extends the lush British tradition of pop-rock as invented in the ‘60s by the Beatles and subsequently further cultivated and tweaked by ‘70s super groups such as Queen and T Rex, by ‘80s visionaries such as the Smiths and by the titanic ‘90s rivals Oasis and Blur.

The band combines their youthful experience in harmony with their later love of London pop-rock and the rhythmic vitality that is their birthright. Currently recording their next album, the band was fortunate enough to record two songs with legendary producer Jack Douglas (John Lennon, Aerosmith) for the George Martin Presents compilation release due out this September.
